Hey out of no were my girlfriends laptop crashed any ides?

so it was working find and we turned it off and when we turned it on it says no hard drive detected and the other thing was when you first turned it on when it was working it gave you 2 options one was load windows xp and the other was load windows home edition and if you click on that one it went to this same screen so i think she click it and now its stuck on that what do i do she got tons a out baby pics she will freak out about losing any advise?
