If you do blogging and want a good traffic to your site, you should consider and visit do follow blog because other said that it can easily get backlinks rather than no follow.

dofollow will help our rank site . but mixing dofollow and nofolow is one of the ebst way to keep our site natural look like
As per me, blog commenting is very useful in taking page rank higher in search engines but comments should be in related sites only so that website gets referral traffic also from the blog.
